Blue Smoke Problem
Help, My Diesel has developed a smoke problem when starting up kicks out quite a bit, after running it for about ten minutes or so at about 2000 revs, when the engine temp reaches 9 o clock the smoke tends to die down, also it would seem to be missing every now and again,

Blue smoke is generally burning engine oil.
Worn valve stem seals can leak oil into the bores over night. Also perhaps the turbo. |
Don't guess this one, replace the PCV filter, then a dose of injector cleaner ;)
Failing that, take it to a competent T4 operator who know what to look for in the live data department. Brian :D |
Did you not have similar problem last year Jules? I thought you changed the pcv valve filter and it was ok?
