Aren't most of the top ten pass areas in and around essex?

Interesting to see how many have fails on lights and tyres. A fair few, I'm not that surprised on the number one failure. See it all the time.

My tyre man tells me of folks who drive to him on a flat tyre (often ruining tyre and wheel in the process) and don't even know if they have a spare in the boot.:duh:

I can't remember where I heard it but apparently some windscreen wash bottles were made deliberately small so people would open the bonnet once in a while.

Rover put the K Series engine in the 75 so you have to open the bonnet every week to check the coolant:}:}

A friend of my fathers when he retired bought a new car, it was the first time he had owned one as all the ones he had before that were company cars.

He was playing golf with my father and asked what the oil can light meant? My father explained to him it probably needed some oil.

When they returned to the car park he told his friend to pop the bonnet open and he would have a look for him, his friend had no idea where it was and my dad opened the bonnet to be presented by a very oily engine. He asked when was the oil last replaced? His friend had no idea and answered ''does it need changing?'' The car was 5 years old and he had never been back to the garage for any servicing and when my father looked at the tyres two were worn down the cords.

The car had done over 30k miles and the following week it went for its first service, new tyres all round and new brakes all round.

Interesting that for all the electronics on modern cars, there's no such faults in the top ten.

Horrible option...But My old Ford fiesta..51 reg..49K miles...Bog standard car...When i say BOG Standard i mean it...

No electric windows, not even a Tacho or Temp Gage on the dash..!!

But parts are so cheap and it passes it's test every year.

The Rover 75 is an outstanding car...For someone who can afford to keep it.

I have to lose some comforts and Dials for economy's sake.

The 75 is a Beautiful car.
