Strange Red Light and other odd things in my ZT-T today.

When I got in the car, the small light between the oval Tachometer and the Mileage/Trip Display was glowing BRIGHT RED continuously. Not flashing ... continuous. Started the car and drove off fine. When I took a long right handed curve in the road, the overhead Interior Lights all became illuminated staying on until I took longish left handed curve when they flickered and then all went out. Came on again next right turn and off next left. I'm thinking door sensors. The display now showing nearside passenger door as open even though it was shut.

In the Supermarket Car park I checked all the doors and all looked OK. I opened the front passenger door and shut it firmly. No more Red Light or Interior lights on.

I guess somehow although the passenger side front door looked and felt fully shut, somehow the door sensor there detected it as open.

Door actuator starting to fail maybe?

The good thing is that you knew the door was physically latched.

Just something to monitor in the future then :}

Had it during the cold spell John - shut the driver's door but the latch must have iced up - all cleared a couple of miles down the road after it had warmed up a tad. :}

Must be the cold weather. During winter I sometimes get a beep as I press the door lock button.

Opening the door then closing it firmly makes it all work correctly.

Another---They all do that sir as it's a Rover 75.---Lol.

Sounds like the cold. If it does it again then get out of the car, close the doors and try to lock it on the remote. If the little noddy horn under the bonnet honks at you then that's a good confirmation. I cured mine by applying some white lithium grease to the catches.
