Redundancy
Well I got told today that my Voluntary Severance application has been accepted, and will be leaving my current employment at the end of Oct this year, so I am now looking to a well earned rest, and will now give me more time to clean the cars
I have been with the current employer for the last 19 years, so am getting a decent package, and my pension early, so hopefully will be able to survive as mortgage paid off, and no other debts, so with two pensions I shall enjoy my retirement :}:}:D:D:}:} Stu Only down side is that I might not be able to spend as much money as I like on my cars |
Just make sure you enjoy every minute of your retirement :)

If its what you wanted , then congratulations on your retiremant stuart.

Yes it is what I wanted, was planning on going at 60/61, but now going a year earlier and also getting paid for it is a bonus, can potentially walk away with a decent amount, but going to leave pension for another year, and actually put more into it, to stop Taxman taking a chunk, with my payoff to increase the amount over a number of years So thanks and will catch up soon Stu |
I retired at 62,so only regret was i didn't do it a few years earlier. Now start living the best time of your life.:D

Congratulations, Stu. I'm sure you'll enjoy retirement. I took it 12 years ago and have not regretted it. I can honestly say I have not been bored for one minute in that time. :D:D:D:D
