Rover 75 2.0 CDT Auto Club SE Tourer swap for er...nothing
Free to a good home - as a thank-you for the free help (and even some free parts!) given to me over the years.
Bad bit first.... Alternator bearing has gone, so noisy and overheats the alternator casing which causes a notable electrical smell. It drives fine - BUT IT REALLY SHOULDN'T BE ! 2003 (53 plate) Auto (changes nicely) lower power engine - never 'tweaked' - does 50+mpg on a run. Around 126k miles MOT to 15/08/20 Light blue Cloth interior Recent full DIY service Good Dunlop tyres all round (4mm front, 6m rear) Recent new windscreen, battery, inter-cooler pipe and cooling fan Aircon not working (had it checked - needs new condenser rad) Bodywork is fair - no rust but some battle scars - nothing too much Fairly recent front suspension lower arms and bushes Exhaust replaced 4 years ago New brake pedal rubber!! Crank idler pulley and belt replaced last year (around 10k ago). . There's probably more... Comes with a spare set of headlights (lenses need polishing) Brand new spare thermostat unit (I did the easy in-line fix, so this is spare) - temp gauge stays at the 9 o'clock position A front indicator lens (sorry, can't remember which side) Leather gear stick gaiter Haynes manual Collection from Halesowen, West Mids - probably best on a trailer! Thanks, Andy |
It looks like a neighbour may be interested in the old girl. I will post again if it falls through....

Andy,
Could I put my name in the frame if your neighbour says no. Also in Halesowen (Well Blackheath, but postal address is Halesowen) so collection would not be an issue. Thanks again for posting such a generous offer. Cheers Dave |
