Sat /sun picnic
Hi guys n girls it’s been on my mind to do a picnic at tyneham in Dorset,this is a lovely place to visit so I’ve been told, it’s a village in Dorset where time has stood still,I’m just getting the views of others who would like to attend this meet before i go ahead and advertise it as an advertised meet,so dates etc that you can’t make and suggestions of drive up stops etc would gratefully appreciated
Thanks again matt |

I see that Lord Rover is thinking of organising a meet at the Bovington Tank Museum and Tyneham village is just around the corner, so it might be a good idea to combine the two.
This might encourage folk to come from slightly further afield. I attended the Portland meet and thoroughly enjoyed it - well done Ian G. |
You can count us in Matt, never been there before... :}

I'm game for this as well. :cool:

Sounds like a good day out - I'll make it if I can. However, l've got a pretty busy diary until mid September.

Yes I must get this sorted as soon as ratty and val are back as I know they were really up for this one so as soon as a date is sorted I will update the thread

I would be interested if it's a Saturday mate.

Matt Tyneham village is an awesome spot to visit , it sits in the middle of the tank ranges and can be closed for public Access check via Google as on the village site it gives open times although unlike Imber village it is open most weekends Access to the barns is a bit rough in places so good footwear is advised .if you enter from Corfe castle end it's a great scenic drive and easier to turn into the lane down to Tyneham put us two down please 😊

I would be interested depending on the date.
