How early is my 75?

Hi just a question for someone that might know? How early in terms of production is the 75 ive just bought.Its on a T reg; And date of first registration was 10 03 1999. Think I got a bargin .its 2.5 v6 auto Connoisseur in Copper leaf Red . Electric blind cruise sunroof and it all works!! Done only 62000 miles with full service history too. So if anyone does know that would be great Thanks all.

That's a very early one, as they went on sale in July, from memory. Does it have a JOP registration, out of interest?

Hi thanks for the fast reply!! No the last 3 numbers on the reg plate are abd. Its obviously been well looked after the black leather is spot on; No cracks or splits and still has the Rover over mats. Just had a oil and fliter change done; All spark plugs ;air filter; pollen fliter; air con re-gas .The plenum chambers are bone dry !! Such a lovely car.. For pennys .

March 1999 you say, that is an early example. Perhaps post up a few pictures for further discussion..

Yes I will do. When daughter gets back from school with my camera!! Would it have been a press car? it also has the chrome door mirror covers. split rear seat; Rover embossed on the front head rests. cd changer; I think they put more or less everything that they could think of on it. But what a nice drive. Also have had the auto transmission fluid checked as ive seen its important . But thanks everyone for the interest ; I had a vague idea it was a early car.

Hi just dug out the cars service record ; And there are a few interesting dates on it. The car was registered in march 1999 but it had its PDI at the vehicle preparation centre at Lawford heath in Rugby on 28.05.1999.And its first service was at SMC Rover in Slough on the 21.03.2001. . The mileage reading 8525.. So I wonder what the car was doing in that period of time?

If you ask Stu nicely, he can look up the records of when the car rolled off the production line at Cowley.
You would need to PM him your VIN to Xpart02.

That's strange, I always thought they were launched February 1999? :shrug:

Thank you pab, I didn't think I was going mad! :}

I remember going to that Motor Show (as I worked for BMW at the time) and looking at the 75 and the new S-Type Jag and preferring the interior of the 75! ;)
