Most peeps have seen these before but hope it helps anybody who cant get their head around the internals. :D

2nd and 3rd ones up show up quite well the wear in the pivot spindles.

Keith 17th May 2007 22:14

I had forgoten the full spindles are all visible, for some reason I thought the access panel still left a few obscured.

Drilling out the spindles would be sort of easier to do than I thought

Bernard you can see the wear easily in those pics first job replace and or rebush the valves second job recreate the worn out ball joints on the control arm last job getting it all resealed effectively

I think Lates took a hammer and chisel to that one to get it apart!

Hacksaw across a corner then "chase" it round carefully with a hammer and screwdriver. I have an old mullered mani here if anybody wants to collect it.No motors etc just a bare casting thats a little weathered ;)

I think Bernard is curious enough to want to play with one is it still in one piece and getting it apart is all part of the challenge :)

Bernard LPG 17th May 2007 23:23

Blinking marvellous isn't it. I spent a fruitless hour searching for the piccies and here they are!

Don't like the look of those ball joints as a project, but probably a bit clearer in the flesh.

Lates, your not that far from me, If I'm not busy next week, I might pop over and have a serious look-see.

Lates 17th May 2007 23:35

Next Saturday all day and Sunday morning in Rugby if you wanna pop over. Sunday may be the better day tbh.Sorry for the delay in posting piccies quicker, I forgot my photobucket login :(

Chances are it is on the to do list unless they have been able to buy them in at radically reduced prices as over there they can probably build a whole car for £600! but I guess the current parts bin cars we have seen use standard parts.

Maybe just Maybe theirs will be better than the original but will it be available or even interchangeable who knows, sods law says it won't be.

Or by the time X-Part get them here for distribution they price will be just as silly

It is a lot of money to pay for a badly designed self destructing bit of plastic isn't it!

Posted this on the other side

Ironic - the RAVE-75/ZT page number of the for IMC procedure - 666.

Chinese better have this BEAST sorted on the next Z. Hopefully there will be a cheaper implant too -Landrover in Australia have the market on Plenum assemblys locked up ATM.

If this pic is is ridgy-didge then it all looks the same. http://car.autohome.com.cn/photo/3175/12/107552.html
[apart from the addition of bulkhead sound deadening - more a 75 thing than a ZT].
