75 tourer stalling issues
Hi all and thanks for letting join:}.
I need help, this ii my first 75 it is 2002 and love it apart from every so often it stalls without warning, its just like turning it off, there is no juddering of missing it just stops:shrug:. I have changed both fuel pumps as the high pressure one was faulty but is still happen on occasion, my friend has purchased a 2002 75 saloon and his dose the same but a lot more often then mine. Both have been put on diagnostic and both came back with only air bag's fault being recorded nothing else. Any ideas...... Forgot to say both cars start first turn of key after stopping. Both are the 2ltr cdti 2002 model. |

even if dry the corrosion left by water is damaging. If your ecu is damaged do not let a local garage or any other touch it.... they will talk about 700.00 for ecu + this + that.... There are a couple of guys on here who can help you out if that is the situation... Members Marinabrian & PhilT4 are both top people and can copy, replace and resurrect ecu's (and even upgrade which I would recommend) for a tiny fraction of what a garage will charge... and I think that at least one an perhaps both can do this by post... 3-4 days and it is all done... If you put a call out then I am sure there is a member in your area who can come and check your plenums and give advice... |
Have been on you tube great vid of them being cleared, will do today as cant afford to be without car, hopefully all will be fine, will keep you posted.
If I disconnect the battery can I remove the ecu safely? |

Hi all,
good news all clear, ECU clean no signs of tide marks on pollen filter or metal "removed ecu and pollen filter to have good look" few leaves and little bit of moisture but nothing I wouldn't call "normal" happy days. Would maf sensor cause stalling? I believe these can be troublesome. |
