Replaced today: Courtesy of Andy Willie.. A job well done. Andy persevered the swimming in diesel to extract all the bits and reassemble the pump!:xmas-smiley-008:

Remember not to let your fuel gauge drop below 1/4 full, assuming it's still accurate ;)

I thought once both under bonnet and in tank fuel pumps are working the need to keep above 1/4 tank is no longer required.:xmas-smiley-008:

It isn't, but you never know when the intank pump will fail again and leave you stranded.........been there, done that, and haven't bothered changing the intank pump again.

What make did he put in? The only sensible choice is the original equipment, vdo I believe. I’ve tried an aftermarket one, it lasted less than 1 year! If it’s not that make, best to keep tank more than 1/4 full as advised.
