I finally did it... V8 goodness inside!

Well, I've been after a decent V8 for many years - this probably isn't a secret to most of you. :D
I finally found one - a lovely Mk2 SE in Nocturne.

She needs a bit of work, but given her purpose (to help us develop some bits and pieces for the V8) she's absolutely perfect.

Anyway, enough talking - picture time!

I'll keep you all posted with updates as we go - work needed includes:
- Heater valve faulty (we're working on a replacement item)
- A couple of bodywork dings etc as expected
- Rear tyres quite low
- Interior needs a good going over

Just had to show her off... sorry :o
What an absolutely fantastic car, she doesn't half turn heads. :)

I suppose I should have listed one of these in the dream car section. Finances will never allow though. Good luck with yours! ☺

They're not as expensive to run as some make out - it's a relatively workaday engine over in the States. :)
Remember, you can't take it with you... ;) :D

that car is identical to the one and only v8 Rover 75 here in western australia.
Although no v8 rover 75s were ever sent to Australia, only some zt 260s, the only one here was an import from an ex pat who brought it over with him.He had it for sale advertised at $25,000 Aud but it never sold !!!
Not sure what happened to it after that but i spoke to a nechanic who had worked on it and they had all sorts of issues tuning it.

It's not the running it, its the buying it - they go for like £8000-£10,000 and I don't have it lol! Minimum wage and on my own means it won't ever happen for me. Hope we see more of yours. :)

V8

I recently lost my v8 RR 4.6. Love a v8 engine. Have owned several cars with v8s, a 1972 Chevrolet ss, a Cadillac v8500hp and a Lincoln town car, you can't beat a v8 engine

I may see it about ?
