OK - so where did I get them from then?? Well the short answer is China - duh! Remember I was there a few weeks ago, and whilst I could not get to dealer in Beijing myself I did mange to get a colleague in China to order some for me at his China address - he then carried them to the UK when he next visited. The dealers will NOT DEAL WITH ORDERS FROM OVERSEAS :( Not ideal - but trying to work on a solution - which MIGHT include transhipping through a colleague in China. There will be a shipping and tax/paperwork costs to add to the bill so I don't know how profitable it would be, but I am giving it a go. Express your interest after this post. *** Now, some details about the lamps themselves: they look good quality to see and touch - no different from the existing lamps - and they are a perfect fit in the existing mounting points. When you buy the lenses you also haveto buy the bulb mount too - but the existing wiring just plugs straight in with complete electrical compatability and no bulb blown warnings on the OBC. Even though the lamp holder clips in in the usual way, it needs to be clipped onto the lens BEFORE it is offered up to the car and bolted in place - in fact the rubber sealer sits on top of the lamp holder ... a typically Chinese design I think! :) A minor point in the ggrand scheme of things I think though :) Tail light on (LEDs): http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...23691a2ad4.jpg Tail light and indicator on: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...22803d1f66.jpghttp://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...2369399243.jpg .. and now with the brakes on: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...236c08e005.jpg ... fog lamps: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...236940b9c9.jpg ... and reverse lights: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...23691d1640.jpg And how do the compare? O/S vs N/S - OFF ... http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...236c032715.jpg ... and ON: http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...236c05fdb2.jpg *** So, what do you think? How many members want these? NO PROMISES at this stage - but I AM TRYING :D Best |
