You would need Part Number: FPC000050 Catch assembly-bonnet. Which is the Facelift MG release Lever/Button under Bonnet. The reason for the Complete List as shown in Post 2 is that some parts have different Part Numbers to those on MK1 so not sure if they fit directly or need to be changed. Im sure Alex may Know if they switch direct or anybody else who has changed out there. |
Thanks for tidying up post 2 it makes a bit more sense now ;)
I'm hoping it's just a swap over of the Catch assembly. Any one care to assist with a little How To :) |
Hi.
Could you not fit a ZT one instead of a facelift one? I'm guessing this is for the meshing that's also holding up my plans too :) |
The Facelift one as you are most Probally aware does not come through the Grill area at all it only becomes visible with the Bonnnet released and then more of a push lever/button than the other Pull type which sits in Cutout in Cross Member.
You can see the Small push lever on the Cross member on the L/H side. http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...m/DSCF0607.jpghttps://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...g?t=1172850423 |
That is the bonnet catch i have on my 03 MK1, odd.

Strange as The Part number for this one 2005 model is differrent from the earlier ones, but it did change from S/No: 271837 which would appear to be the same on some Pre Facelift models. Im sure Ive seen it was moved from Grille on earlier Threads.

Engine bay looks clean JDC - I take it it is yours and not a library piccy? Apologies in advance if I cast doubt!!
