Which mobile to get

Hi ,
I have been following the dual sim mobile post , hoping it would give me a heads up on what mobile to get next.
I am not necessarily looking for a dual sim phone,so have posted this request.
Can anyone recommend a phone/brand that is of similar quality (but more up to date) than my old HTC One M8, which, over the last 4 1/2 years has been superb.
I have been reading reviews, and it seems most of the ones at a reasonable price (£200 ish) have some flaws. And I don't really want to spend more on a phone than what I paid for the 75!.
Thanks
Paul

Have a look at the Honor 9 Lite. Modern design, great screen, well built and dual SIM. Shop around and you'll get it for under £140.

Me and Mrs Heddy just got a Huawei Y6 2018 each from Tesco mobile. Under £200 pound but very comparable to more expensive phones. Check the features, or pop in Tesco and ask to play with one.

This helps as I have shortlisted this one, based on your reply and quite a few online owners reviews.
Thanks

Thanks,
another phone (and Brand ) on my shortlist.
Now down to Huawei,Honor (are they the same?) Motorola (!) and possibly HTC,although they have almost vanished.

We got ours on contract £9 p/m. You only get 500mb data but 250mins talk time and a rather useless 5000 texts. Given that most of our browsing is over wi-fi and we use messenger for texts it suits us. It's only £9 because we have 2 phones, normally £10. There's 16g capacity but we expanded it with an SD card.

You cannot beat the Motorola Moto G series for affordable quality. The latest being the g6.

Or umpteen Chinese alternatives, Doogee, Leagoo, Ulephone, Blackview. I have had a Ulephone Power 2 for a year. Never missed a beat and battery lasts forever. All sub £200. Don't understand why folk seem to have to fork out £500 to £750 for an android phone.

I agree,
I bought the missus a G4, as a stop gap, and she won't change it for anything else.
That's why Motorola is a strong option.
Thanks
