Scams like that have been common in Russia and China for years, seams the power of the internet has given the idea to idiots over here now too.

The driver gets out and points out that she has a dashcam, at which point the Muppets leg it!

Bit of a shame really that she lost it. I would have been tempted to get out and say "oh my god are you ok" called the police and hoped they didn't notice the dash cam until the rozzers arrived.

Almost certainly staged IMO. Why would the 'witness' run away? Then change his mind about the direction and run back the other way? The video quality is even poorer than the £15 dashcams you pick up at Tescos or the local forecourt - number plate illegible etc. Funny thing is the audio of the woman's voice is very good...

His mate on the bike calls him over by waving his hand in his direction.

I've said this before, if this sort of thing is going on, any type of dash cam is better than no dash cam.
