Fathers Day Classic Car Show
 

The event is taking place at Castle Howard on Sunday 16 June 2019. The club has attended this show for the last couple of years, and will hopefully be attending again this year.

Members wishing to attend can now book tickets for this event at:

and when booking your ticket, can you please ensure that you book your ticket as Club "Rover 75 and MG ZT Club", and tickets are £4.50 per car, which includes two adults and two children

Just a quick bump on this if anybody would like to attend, can they let me know, and also follow link on first post and book your ticket, as closing date for the event will soon be approaching

We have attended this show for a number of years, and this year, we are going back to where we first parked, as there were problems going down the track last year

It is nearly upon us, this Sunday at Castle Howard.

Can I suggest that those who are not going direct to the Venue, meet up at a location (maybe the Highway Man Café on the A64 at around 0900 hrs and then we can depart at 0915 hrs and travel to the show as a group.

PS, don't forget to bring your ticket with you, as you need it to gain entrance to the show

The other option you can turn up on the day and pay at the gate this will not be the reduced rate that you get by booking early and will be the normal rate of £11.95

Well that didn't go to plan!

Jean thought that a trip to Castle Howard doing the house and gardens first and then a walk round the car show later sounded a nice way to spend the day :cool:.

To start all went well, met up with Steve and his daughter, then had a wander round the gardens, onto a tour of the house, finally indulged in pie mash and a drink in the bar. Started out for the cars and then my legs gave up, mustn't be as good as I thought, so slowly back to the car and then home :mad:.

So, as per the title, no video other than some shots of the house, gardens and fountain :duh:.

Hope others enjoyed the day as it looked a good selection of cars on display.

Another great day at castle Howard weather was very kind to us all the ground remained firm after all the recent rain some very nice cars on display dad and dad in law enjoyed the day he was asleep all the way home 😀 good to meet up with everyone again a big thanks to stu for putting this one together see you all soon

Had a very enjoyable day yesterday, it was good to see everyone. Thanks Stu for arranging the day, I hope everyone got home OK and managed to avoid the incident on the A64.

Thanks also for your thoughts, I'll probably not bother trying to get anywhere else this month. Hopefully I'll be more myself in July for the BMC/BL event at Gaydon and the 28th National at Gretna.

Yes Steve a good day out, and got home ok, and started to rain, as I pulled up at the house, so quickly got car in Man Cave.

Sat Nav took me a strange way, but avoided A64, and ended up going through Thirsk, and onto A19, about an hour and 15 to get home, so not bad at all

See you next week

and thanks to those that attended the show, I got a little burn't again, so must pack some sun cream next time
