Top Tips Do's & Don'ts

We all have some good little top tips, do's & don'ts that we have done or learnt over our lives, why not share them here.

How about this good little tip how may of us have come out in the winter months and our window wipers are stuck to the windscreen.

Well a good tip is use some pipe lagging 13mm over the wipers, just lift the wipers up from the screen whip them off, scrap your screen and away you go.

What a difference a day make thawing here nicely now with a bit of rain.

Steve my Mrs just turns them on and shreds them the covers would be on for 12 months before she realised. I’ve got a great heated screen and a set of 3 wipers are £12 delivered so no great heart ache.;)

Top tip

What ever the temptation is don’t use a ratchet try and break off a stubborn bolt or nut it’s not worth it, go and get yourself a breaker bar, Lost count of the amount of ratchets I’ve come across where people have used a ratchet instead of a breaker bar

Don't try to tie your shoe laces while you're in a revolving door?

When closing the bonnet, don’t just let it drop. Could be the reason why your bulbs are blowing. Close it down by lowering it to the drop stop then place the palm of your hand on the middle rib of the bonnet at the lower edge, and give it a sharp push down. The rib is the strongest part of the bonnet, so no harm will become it. My bonnet is slightly dented by some idiot pressing down on the outside of the bonnet before I bought it. Big no no.

Save yourself loads of money, by driving at sensible speeds and not right up the rear end of the car in front. Monitor the road ahead for corners and hazards.

Remember the most efficient brake you have is the accelerator.

You save on fuel, tyres and brake parts.

Yes. Me too!
As simple is this :shrug:
I always close the doors from a little distance with a bit force.

Do always change the windscreen wipers with covering the windscreen with something soft and durable before :}

I always drop the bonnet to avoid dents.
