some fancy plates to knock up ;)

Seems electrolytically dissimilar metals corrosion doesn't exist in MGR design world :duh:

How about aluminium strip shaped into a curve to match the shield and held in place by the original shield bolts?

:wot: :iagree: :wot: Yep did that with mine - stainless plate though - only because that's what was in the leftovers bin at work. :D

I nicked some lovely large size stainless washers out of my sons “bike bits box”. They did the job but yours are beyond that.

Light aluminium plates should do the job.

if in doubt over engineer it ... got lots of bits of stainless, so.

Done for speed as its cold out ..and for function rather than looks :o..

Didn't even bother to clean up the JC5A

front end clamped by big stainless plates as well ;)..

Won't fail in my lifetime now  ;) nor corrode again !

Fits perfectly

I've kept some old heat shields from a ZT I broke if you want a square of decent material to make up a bit where the corrosion has taken hold justvPM me. I kept it for this reason.:D
