Great news I've had confirmation from Dave Lincs today this meet is definitely going to happen

This is now the official attendance thread but before I can add your names to the list could I ask the driver of each car to email Dave with your name and contact telephone number for track and trace purposes once you have done that please could you add your name to this attendance list ( not the provisional one) entrance fee is £10 per car please could you have this ready and will be collected on arrival at the entrance gate
I'd just like to point out this is not a club meet and is run by the Mid Lincs rover group

Please be aware this is not an official 75&ZT meet and as such is not covered by the club's public liability insurance

This great event week before my 10 day summer jaunt but coming anyway, then backdown the following Friday
Staying at Manchester Birch both nights as going to East Lancs Railway Diesel Gala on the Friday

East Kirkby update good news

Dave lincs has been speaking with the museum today and they are happy to let the meet go ahead on the 3rd July 😃 not sure if there will be any restrictions applied other than what we are use to at the moment so fingers crossed for a great day out

I'm thinking of all the 75/ZT cars should park in the centre bit as normal and other cars on our list can also join us ?

On entry to the aviation center the driver will be asked his name and ticked off Dave lincs contact track and trace list also this is when you'll will pay your £10 (cash please) per car entry fee so could you please have it ready so the organisers get get the cars in as quickly as possible
The cars what are eligible to park inside the museum are any pre 2001 cars and any mg rover cars including later ones
It may be worth having some cash as well as I'm not sure cards will be accepted the cafe will be open and some stalls please support these as they will be working harder with all the current restrictions in place so be patient as well, let's make this a great day out and meet
Last of all please follow and adhere to the government and museum guidelines on social meets

After much thinking we have decided we not be attending. Part of my trip was to Bury fir East Lancs Railway Diesel Gala. This is not seeming particularly sensible at the moment.

Always next year hopefully.

Now very doubtful that Banana will be making the trip as we have yet more problems with the engine.

Banana will now be attending, we might be on the back of a recovery wagon but we will be there.

Not a problem Bob, i recall we repaired Redfive when it arrived on the back of a truck at a Yorkshire meet a few years ago.

Indeed you did mate.. A split fuel hose under the battery tray and as far as I know that hose from the autojumble (a ZB part if I remember correctly) that was fitted in a matter of minutes is still working well to this day.

If anyone would like to drive up together from the Norfolk area let me know. A couple of us will be leaving Norwich at about 7:30 am with the intention of meeting those that are camping overnight at East Kirkby and driving in to the meet together. My intention is to meet in the first layby on the A47 after the southern bypass ends (52.65487196007599, 1.1434245419110778 copy into google maps for exact location) If you want to meet up en route let me know where you intend to meet up and i'll try and give you an approx eta when we will be passing by.

Looks like we will have a great turnout of our cars

Bringing my other pensioner neighbour as well now! They should enjoy a look around while I natter. Blue is all polished and fed ready, now tucked up in the garage til next week!

Sorry, but we will NOT be attending now. I was really looking forward to attending, but I cannot risk bringing Banana up till we get the issues sorted out.
And it's too far for me to bring the Bear, cost of the fuel is not a problem. It's the actual driving the distance of 360 miles in the V8. Plus driving up the M5 on a Friday in July.

I done a round trip of 200 miles last Saturday and it completely drained me. I have got out of the habit of driving long distances.

It would have if I hadn't used a Discovery to tow it, couldn't resist the photo opportunity though. Although I did back it onto the drive with the Zed....hope I don't get busted for it :duh:

Think will be a good turnout as few other car clubs are coming as well

I checked in with the museum this morning, they do accept card payment in the cafe and souvenir shop, I assume the separate stalls etc will be cash though as well as for payment on the gate to Dave.

Hope it is okay to post this, but I shall be bringing a very nice Walnut Gear knob, it has a white insert I think is a Phase one. if anyone is interested price when you see it.

Well, Tina is definitely coming tomorrow, spent last night cleaning out her interior and at the 11th hour Millie will be joining us as well, she just came out of the workshop, not all her little gremlins sorted yet but at least we've got diagnosis' on her little problems so will be spending this evening getting her interior clean, I have to confess to letting the local hand car wash do the exteriors as I just don't have the time so maybe a little titivating before the rain hits us tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing everyone and we'll see you at 0730 at Sainsburys Rich.

Hi Dave, and everyone. I've decided I will have to give tomorrow a miss.
The main problem is the weather, and the rise of the Delta variant.
If it was going to be a sunny day I could've happily spent the day outside in the fields. But because it's going to chuck it down I envisage everyone will be spending the day indoors, and I feel that is too great a risk for me at this moment in time.
I hope everyone who attends will have a great time, especially those going for the first time.
