CDTi Engine 'missfire'??

I don't know if I'm imagining this,, but over the last couple of weeks, every so often, I feel as though my engine misses a beat, it's like a tiny misfire... but this is a diesel of course. I have no erratic running, and the car chugs along doing 300 miles per week, week in and week out.... without incident.
Has anyone else noticed this type of 'hiccup' when driving their diesel.. or have I just lost it!!:driving:

I think I noticed this around 3 or 4 times in a 50 mile round trip today...

Cheers
Phil

a check of injector, MAF, MAP and fuel rail sensor plugs and a nice clean fuel filter are the first steps for me....

I see you have a Ron box fitted, I had similar a while ago traced it to the wiring on the plug under the engine cover it had been under strain and had become detached causing a misfire type symptom. Ron repaired it for free, worth a check
Best of luck
John

Hi John... no, no Ron Box, but I do have a 160 remap. I do intend to add one in addition some time though :-)

Was wondering where you saw this and found a typo in my profile! You you've solved one problem for me...

Don't bother, you will end up with an undesirable smokescreen if you do ;)

Brian :D
