So the bad shut line is English style? What they need to so is get three members from an online Uk based owners club and fly them over there to do all the checks. It would probably take three weeks with a stop off in Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia on the way out and back. Total trip would be four weeks away.................. now who could do that I wonder?
Mods need not apply :laughing2: |
15" wheels do it no favours. :D and no spoiler. Otherwise it looks pretty good to me. They seem to be stuck on the 1.8T as the only engine at the moment, hope that will change as time goes on.
1 of the Admins is too old to cope with a trip around the world so I suggest he remain in his Bath chair and have a nice cup of tea and a biscuit to keep him occupied. I will just have to go in his place. |

Southampton? I don't think Christopher would be very happy with that but ok if he couldn't go to China then you can go gg. Ken  |
Hmmm...retrofit rear lights, powerfolds, wood steering wheel, doorcards with open door warning lights and a rather tasty looking sat nav/climate control.

I liked this comment: If motor is good, this is better than roewe. roewe now fe els like passat linyu! interior is so c heap. |
At todays exchange rate the 250k would convert to £16,051 as sold in China. I have no idea what the transportation costs would be from China to the UK. However if they were built/bolted together here then wages being so much higher would surely make the car at least £24,000 at our dealers. Which is around the same price as we were paying for the 75 & ZT until the latter days of MGR.
To get the Chinese company off the ground in the UK would the Chinese government or the British government issue grants and the like to keep the car at a reasonable price level? Only time will tell but looking at the pictures both inside and out I think it may have a future here, again only time and the British public will decide. As it stands and if I were looking for a new car I would certainly take a close look at. Ken |
