Max our new dog, a new blubber club member???

We collected Max on Friday night - he is a four year old Labrador Retreiver that is, shall we say, a little overweight :D

His previous owners who have had him since he was eight weeks old were struggling to give him the excercise he needs since they are now both working full time. He is really well behaved & even carries his own lead when out for a walk.
He is starting a diet & having a lot more excercise now so we shall see how he goes on - i am thinking of asking Mr Flyer if Max can join the blubber club as it worked for me :D

Looks lovely. How is he finding the change? I couldn't give my dog up for the world. There is a lady I am starting to get to know but my dog doesn't like her much. So she might have to go. :( ;)

I dont think it has bothered him much at all, we went to see him on Thursday & took him for a walk, then spent some time with him on Friday evening at the previous owners house before putting him in the car ( not my 75 i must add!! ) and bringing him home. When we got back here he wandered round the house for a bit & was quite giddy for a while but then jut calmed down & seems to totally at home now. We put his bed in the kitchen but he was having none of that & took it himself into the hallway - the next morning when i got up he had dragged his bed upstairs onto the landing & thats where he seems to want to sleep. He walks along side you ( always on the left ), doesnt pull - when of the lead you call him & he comes straight back, other dogs dont bother him although he did set off after a bird this morning:D, but really i couldnt have asked for a better behaved dog - lets just hope it lasts :D:D

I hope your dog comes round to your friend, i'm sure he will in time. Perhaps he isn't used to sharing you.

weigh yourself then pick the dog up and get on the scale and get someone to tell you the weight as you wont be able to see the readout.

No doubt some brisk walks will get it into shape , you will probably find it's been given too many treats .:drool4:
