Scuttle Panel Clips - EYC101470PMA

Hello guys,
I thought I'd better post this in the General section, as I know these are mind-numbingly expensive at the moment (£2.00 from most XPart dealers or thereabouts, and £2.40ish on eBay).

I've managed to get them down to 99p per clip individually (or a full set of 7 is £5.99, so 86p per clip).

Just thought I'd let everyone know, as I know a lot of you will probably have them missing or badly discoloured with age.

They're these clips:

Order here: EYC101470PMA - Scuttle Clip - Genuine MG Rover

Happy clipping. :D

Previously we've paid a small fortune for these - but working with XPart we've managed to get a discount on a large quantity.
We'll certainly have enough for the next year or two with how many we bought to get the price down!

Howie666 16th February 2015 15:36

Thank you Mat, just ordered a set! :)

Avulon 16th February 2015 15:41

Me as well along with a slam panel bolt kit. Oh yes and re-usable air filter. Should be all ready for the Pod on Sunday :).

Les4048 16th February 2015 20:16

Thanks guys, two sets ordered

DMGRS 16th February 2015 20:29

Thanks for all the orders guys - it's been manic today with these! All going out tomorrow, to arrive with you shortly after.

Thanks again. :)

rich17865 16th February 2015 21:42

I suppose you had better add a set to my list.

Damn you taking all my money, even if it is less than Rimmers have pulled my trousers down for in the past ;)

Dorset Bob 16th February 2015 21:49

Thanks Mat, just ordered a set. ;)

DMGRS 17th February 2015 12:23

oh and these, 4 off for the central finishers.

DMGRS 18th February 2015 15:30

I can try, chaps - they're still quite expensive though, even at our rates.
Rimmers are showing as £56.33, we'd probably be able to go down to around £49 (but I'd have to clarify).

Rev Jules 18th February 2015 16:37

May I have a set please.

Many Thanks.
Julien

geoffh 18th February 2015 17:08

We used to source them from SAIC MG and they cost us a fortune - thankfully XPart are a lot better on bulk pricing.
I've dropped you an offer in PM, anyway. ;)

DMGRS 19th February 2015 11:08

Plenty of these left chaps! Just had another box dropped off. :)

Thanks Mat - top man.

Dragonteeth 19th February 2015 11:25

Thanks for working on that.

I'm interested in some of these as I lost one and another is really badly discoloured.

Don't suppose you know how to get hold of one of those annoying "scrivet" things too do you?

I'm working on the scrivets, but they'll be a few weeks from now (depending on availability).

Mat

DMGRS 21st February 2015 18:14

Still got plenty left - grab 'em while they're hot. :)

DMGRS 26th February 2015 22:18

We've just received another batch of these for the same fantastic price - so now have plenty for all. :)

Dorset Bob 9th March 2015 16:00

I have just got around to fitting this set of scuttle clips.
Much better, as the old ones had faded and were looking a bit sad. ;)

They do look the business, saw them in the flesh on Sunday!

But tell me, do you have these aswell? Part No.: DYB100121? They are the plugs for the Roof Bar attachment screws.

Thanks.

Hello Bill,
I can get hold of them, but to be honest they wouldn't be at a great discount compared to Rimmer Bros.

If there was enough interest I could go in to XPart with a Group Buy or similar, however. :)

MangoMan 9th March 2015 18:58

I was just wondering as they are another part that goes white... :(

Dorset Bob 9th March 2015 21:50

I agree, and they are a worse eyesore than the scuttle clips IMHO.

Nearly every car I have seen could do with a set.
At a good price, they should sell like hot cakes. ;)

Supervinnie40 10th March 2015 07:50

When you posted this on Facebook a month ago I did ask you about the scuttle panel. If you had any new ones lying around or if you could get your hands on a brand new one.
It would certainly suit my needs to combine this offer with a brand new scuttle panel.

genpk 10th March 2015 08:26

Great to see we can still get these plastic parts which show wear.
In a bind for bits over here,Ive got good results using somthing like vasaline on these bits on the car which seems to give them a limited new life, but there aint no substitue for new!!!
By the way, thanks DMGR for your prompt service for the parts I ordered here in Australia, good job!!!!(unsolicited plug!!!)

DMGRS 10th March 2015 10:50

No problem at all - thank you for your order. :)

DMGRS 30th March 2015 10:13

New batch just in! :)

Hi DMGRS, any news on the possibily of getting your hands on a new scuttle panel??

We're working on that, but none of our contracted couriers will carry them due to their length. TNT is our next target, and with them on board we'd have no problem shifting them. :)

Pistonbroke666 30th March 2015 16:20

Hi Matt

Not directly related to the thread title but as you were recently here...
Can you get the following part, DYB10012? Need one but I'd take two.

All Car Parts Fast want £10.98 for two posted.
Rimmers want £12.48.

For those who don't recognise the part number, that's two grommets, the size of a penny. Mental.

I really begrudge the extortionate postage lol.

Cheers

James

Hi James, can you check the part number? Can't find that one here. :)

Hi Matt

Direct Rimmers link here...

The part is a replacement for a discontinued item that went under the reference DYB100120 - number '6' in the part list here...

It's the roof rack blanks/grommets.

Ah, you'd missed the last '1' off the part number. :D
Got it, shall have a look and drop you a PM. :)

Not wanna promote going offtopic, but there have been a few more topics about this part. Perhaps it would be interesting to others if DMGRS has more of them? Perhaps a new topic to promote them?

Edit; thanks for your answer to my previous question. My fingers are very much crossed!

If there was a lot of interest I could approach XPart for a group deal. :)
