£19k is a hell of a lot, you'd have to be a massive die hard fan.

I'd say it's about 10k over priced, 19k can buy you some real automotive icons, this is one for speculators only.

Mind you what do I know, Dagenham dustbins have sold for a lot more

That’s it though Jack, to the diehards it’s the right money and where they should be. When people see my supercharged one at shows they can’t believe MG Rover built such a car and they ask what it’s worth and I reply “if it had a Ford oval badge on it three times what I think it is” That’s just fact, people are paying stupid money for old Fords which in reality are nothing special. I sincerely hope the seller gets his money, I saw one recently at a show and the guy paid only a few thousand less than this but it had more miles on it. He paid top money because he knew what he was looking for, so there are people out there who truly appreciate the car for what it is

In any event, for similar money I'd rather buy this......LINK at least it wouldn't drive like a badly built kit car, which is all the 260 is at the end of the day ;)

Why would any man want to drive an "Essex Girl V8"?

Surely, if a man was looking to buy a Mercedes V8 for similar money it would be something like this one.

Of, course this has nothing to do with the 260, but if we are widening the catchment to Mercs..........

I suspect the way ''classic car'' prices are climbing at the moment if this is kept in this condition in another 10 years it will be a good investment. Who would have believed anybody would be paying £30k for a Capri or even more for a MK1 Range Rover and few years ago, even Allergros are now fetching £5k  and they are horrible.

Only 5 years these V8's were fetching a lot less than they are now. Anything that is a bit unusual and/or has a decent bit of power always seems to become collectable.

As it has often been said a car is only worth what someone is prepared to pay.
This car has been garaged for 3 years and has no MOT. Why not get it MOT'd then ask for the money.

I put my ZTT V8 400 up For Sale, and other than silly offers, there was not a lot of interest. Yes, I had a couple of tyre kickers. One chap was going to travel by train from South London to view the car but wanted the test drive to take him back home. Turned out to be joker.

As much as I like the 75' and ZT thats crazy money, buy an M3 or agree with the other comment merc C63. No brainer these cars aren't worth that kind of money.

There's one problem with that - people with class do not buy M3 or Cxx cars! :D;)
