Advice on removal of highline head unit on functions of IPK

I have just purchased a Connie SE with highline dash, satnav, multi disc cd and analogue tv module. What will I loose if I swap the head unit for a something more modern.

I know the tv won’t work whatever as it’s analogue. Also I realise the cd multi disc and satnav will not work, but will the highline computer for fuel consumption etc still work, or do you need the head unit to control any extra functions over those controlled by the stalk?

I’ve not started using the car at the moment and it’s not at my house at the moment so can’t check through what does what. I have a double DIN Sony Bluetooth unit in my tourer at the moment (standard IPK) and wondering whether to transfer into my new purchase.

You will be fine. I removed my highline head unit and replaced it a couple of times. The dash display still works independantly.

Can you still reset the average mpg etc as I had to do it via the headunit

Yes, you should be able to by selecting the display you want then Hold in the button on the end of the stalk till it resets👍
