3 speed, 4 wire radiator fan

Hi All,

Just took off the above to replace the brushes and dropped it on the garage floor.
Busted a magnet!!!

I'm looking for a replacement fan, ideally with the control box and cables, also the torx fitting bolts.

HI Phil.
For which engine do you require the fan, also if you have only broken the magnet inside the actuator motor ? all you really need is a motor with the blades attached, therefore in that case the engine for which it is required makes no difference, I think I have such an item in the shed somewhere, if you wanted to go down that route.

IF you would like a full working fan then maybe drop ( Mickyboy )a PM he maybe able to help you out. Arctic

PS Sorry you could also go with a two 2 speed fan with gold resistor plug & play by the way.

Thanks for the offer.

I've bitten the bullet and ordered a new 2 speed fan.

Hi Phil.
Excellent it should out last the car, also just realised it is for a 2.5 petrol engine, I was going to add if you could have made the Nano meet then I have one that could have been fitted there for you, but nice to hear you are sorted good luck ;)

Guessing you bought one of the new ones with the press fit spindle, good luck, mine developed helicopter sickness but friendly ECP2004 says he's sold hundreds without issue. Just my luck I guess. Currently superglued in place and seems to be holding.

Hi Mike,

Not sure what I have ordered, says its genuine old stock.

What brand or spec was yours, so that I can compare when I get it?

If you look at my linked thread you'll see the ebay item on post 7. Won't be visible as the sticker in the centre of the blades is in the way, but these are press fit and not what I would call genuine or OEM, aftermarket would perhaps be more accurate as no-one seemed to recognise these spindle fittings. The brand marked on the blades was Siemens.

I'd like to emphasis that the seller was most helpful and maybe I was just unlucky but my major gripe was that once the blades released there seems to be no easy way to re-attach them.

Regards from Devonshire lad in exile,

Mike
