alternator conection how many pins should there be
 

Hi question for trikey or anyone who knows , 2005 rover 75 cdti alternator all the adds for second hand ones say 3 pins , yet my new alternator valeo only has 2 pins and a nut and bolt for i presume the earth ,have i got the right alternator ? thanks

Yep, it will be fine, the nut is for the main battery cable, the plug will just fit as normal regardless if its 2 or 3 pin.
