Help with FBH installation

Hi guys hope someone can help. I finally got round to fitting my FBH today - I bought it last September (2017) so not doing too bad lol. The burner is in and plumbed so no issues there, however, I have run into a few other fiddly problems:

1. The 6 pin plug in the engine bay doesn't fit the heater- the 2 pin is fine but the 6 pin is different?

2. The dosing pump plug I dropped down from the fuel tank doesn't fit the pump...

3. My pump has a rubber bracket which seems a great solution if I was to take one of the bolts out of what looks like the old bracket base and attach it but I'd need a letter from God to get them off - both just turned to mush and are now perfectly round ... Tried hammering on smaller sockets etc they just disintegrated. Any ideas on best place to attach?

4. There was a Siemens box ziptied to the side of the fuse box I had to remove to fit the fbh in place. I've ziptied it slightly further away but it's not entirely secure and seems to have some clips on to attach it somewhere else. What is it and where is supposed to be??

Any help much appreciated - pictures below:

For the plugs I could be mistaken but isn't it just a waterproof cover that pulls off then you can plug them in, as for the bolts might have to resort to grinding a slot into them and using a flat headed screwdriver.

As eddy says, you have to remove the blank from the plug before fitting it, these are in place to keep the pins clean.

Hi Eddy I pulled a clip out of the dosing pump plug and pulled the cover off but it's the wrong size. That's the easier one tbh - can think of ways to wire up to it as there's only 2 pins but the one in the engine bay has surprised me. There were two different models of fbh fitted and I'm wondering if mine should have taken the other model hence the difference in plug ...

The fbh plug looks very similar in shape ... but isn't quite the same ...

Check out this thread and compare part numbers for the fbh to see if yours differs https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...d.php?t=100297

i fitted around six fbh heaters.i cannot recall there being a difference in the plugs on any off them.there are two types of heater as you correctly state but the difference is only the pcb interface plus the firing method.as for the pump i thought the socket should be rounded on the corners instead of square.but i have not looked at mine for three years.which brings me two the question is the fbh off a rover 75?
