Practical Classics - Rover 75 V Jag S-Type

Hello folks, been a while as I sold my Rover 75 last year due to requiring a large load lugger so ended up with a Range Rover P38.

Anyway, I spotted that Practical Classics magazine have a head to head review of the Rover 75 and the Jaguar S-type now that they have both reached their 20th birthday.

It seems a good article and the writer does not dissapoint with his view of the Rover 75.

If I decide to replace the P38 with a car again then the Rover 75 will be top of my list of contenders, its proven to me to be reliable, is extremely comfortable and just looks so right.

They are really positive, seem to recall the quote 'the rover is where we would put our money'

Ive owned both, The 75 is cheaper to repair and maintain the S type (ok mine was a 4.2 v8) is the nicer car with more toys IMO.

Oh the Heresy! Im so ashamed! I shall go a whip myself in a dark corner !!!

Its still true though.......

I think the comments about the exterior styling are true though, the Rover does to me look a better balanced complete package and doesn't look awkward from any angle. Shame it's front wheel drive...
