Brake Discs & Pads
I am getting some front brake judder & looking at the front discs today they are quite corroded. I am going to fit new ones but looking at eBay there are a wide range of different ones at wide ranging prices. Some are Mintex & many are unbranded but are the branded ones genuine? anyone got any recently at a reasonable price & found them to be OK, any advice would be appreciated
Thanks Mike |
unbranded I doubt will be genuine.
mintex, brembo, pagid all decent makes. I think some say mintex give off a lot of dust. macafee2 |

As far as I am aware, there's still a lot of fake mintex doing the rounds on ebay so if you do buy from there, just make sure it's from a reputable seller.
I got myself a set of TRW discs from mister-auto.co.uk for a good price, good quality and the unswept areas are painted to prevent rusting. Delivery can take a little longer though as they ship from france but it's never taken more than 5 working days to get an order from there. |

Sorry. I meant Euro Car Parts have a sale?? FLASH50 50% Off. |
I replaced my rear discs & pads with EBC, brought direct from EBC, who balanced them. I'm really impressed, there doesn't appear to be much brake dust - granted they are on the rear though.
When I come to replace the front I shall do the same. It's pricy but, I think it's worth it. Rob |

I decided to try black diamond FR pads this time. Haven't fitted them yet though, they were cheap enough to give a go and replace them again if they suck. |
