headlight cloudy
 
I have a headlight which the perspex has gone cloudy ,any ideas on how to refurb it please.:}

I polished the cloudy effect from the perspex on mine with Auto-sol chrome cleaner. Worked great..

I'm in the process of doing mine, won't be for the faint hearted at I'l be sanding them.

I could put together a how to if there is enough interest?

If it's not too bad, any clear plastic restorer will do. It's a simple process (just watch your paintwork) - such as this:

If yours are really bad you may want to wait for the how-to from empsburna.

Both of mine were cloudy when dry, but appeared fine if you ran a wet finger over them. I gave them a polish up with Brasso, but any fine mildly abrasive polish should do the job - like T-cut or maybe even ordinary toothpaste.

I use Meguiars Plastx. It is very good and easy to use. my headlamps are nice and clear now. I have also used it on the screen on my motorcycle.

T-cut does this job very well brings them up like new but makes the elbow ache!
