Tyre black
Any recommendations? Rev |
Tyre Black
I have used a few over the years, and this is my favourite, and think it works very well, but to use you eed to wear latex gloves to apply, otherwise gets under your finger nails

I'll be using Carpro Perl at 1:1 dilution ratio on all external rubber and plastics. Apparently results in a silky look without being glossy (although it can be layered, the more layers, the more shiny the finish).

+1 for Megs Endurance, but I agree, it's a bit messy to put on. I always wipe over it before it dries to remove the excess, it seems to give it a nice sheen.

Autoglym Rubber Plus. Only comes in trade size of 5 litres, but available at many Classic Car shows and Autojumbles. Paint on with a brush, half a minute per tyre, and leave for 30 mins before driving. Looks good and also protects the sidewalls from sun and cracking. Lasts very well, BUT no smaller size available, so many are put off - it's about £30 a tin.

My tyres are already black:shrug:

I am currently using a Wonder Wheels product which us reasonably priced and it does last in the rain and between washes. On my ZTT the tyre gel lasts about three washes at least before needing a top up of the gel.
