Rover 75 windscreen washer bottle for xenons

As above. I believe the bottle is different for 75s with xenon headlights then without. Thanks.

Hi Ravinder. I think the bottle is the same, it is the pump that is different between xenon and halogen or projector lenses.

The bottle only differs between 1.8 turbo and other variants looking at the link below. Hope this helps.

Thank you. The problem is that it doesn’t hold any of the fluid. As soon as I poor it in, it leaks straight out near the wheel. What would the problem be? I assumed I’d need a bottle...

Thanks.

peel back the wheel arch cover and check to see if the pump has been pushed out by the water/fluid freezing. Or it has just come out.

It may also be the pump seal, having become dislodged. Hopefully it is one of the above rather than a split, as they will be easy fixes by pushing the pump down.

The 'Xenon' bottles have two pumps, one for headlights and one for windscreen, with the headlight one sitting higher than the windscreen one.

I am probably wrong, but I suspect they are the same bottles, and can be made from a non xenon one, by cutting the hole out for the xenon pump.

Yes all the bottles are the same but the headlight washer bottles have a second higher drilling for the headlamp washer pump.

You can even see the drilling marked on the moulding if a bottle that had not had a headlight washer pump fitted. This can be drilled out to the size indicated.

It maybe the bottle leaking if it's been allowed to freeze but more than likely one of the pumps has failed and it's coming out of the pump tell tale. Of course a pump to tank seal may have gone as well.

Easiest way to tell is pull back drivers front arch liner and see which is leaking.

The headlight washer pump is the higher mounted one of the 2 fitted.

Hope this helps

Freezing weather these das. Maybe the alter froze and split
the bottle. As mentioned there are a few possibilities. If it has split hat weld it if access allows. Just a thought.
