Firstly my sincere apologies for the delay in posting this particularly to Brian [Freebyrd] as was not sure which way to go with this.

As this is normally my annual Lakeland Motor Museum Meet,I have decided to try something a little different in format.

I have decided to link this with the Anglo Scottish meet at Gretna over the weekend of 14th - 15th July & if a success may make it an Annual Weekend Event thus truly making it an Anglo/Scottish event,each side of the Border over the same Weekend.

I also plan on making the first one a slightly more informal gathering to see how things pan out & see what members think.

Aiming for a more informal social gathering for the Saturday,Jan,I, Brian, [Freebyrd] Bri & Linda have decided to make a weekend of it,Jan,Myself,Bri & Linda have Booked into the Premier Inn Barrow in Furness Saturday Evening following the get together at the museum plus anything else we can think of,then travel together for the run up to Gretna Sunday Morning.

All members are more than welcome regardless of vehicle, to attend either or both days,just ask for your name to be placed on the list stating your preference of attendance,hope to see as many as a can possibly attend.

It's the same day as the meet at East Kirby. Quite a few members have already signed up to that.:}:}:}:}

Anyone else interested in this little social gathering this Saturday ahead of our main event the 'ANGLO SCOTTISH' at GRETNA the following day Sunday 15th July.

This particular Lakeland event has been arranged purely as a social gathering for members who may wish to make a weekend of it at a superb venue such is the LAKELAND MOTOR MUSEUM,combining beautiful scenery with a good chance this weekend of gorgeous weather to ice the cake as it were.

There may also be another motor club in attendance for added interest,plus the possibility,with members interest, of an afternoon cruise on Lake Windermere,but will sort that on the day depending on interest,as there are numerous sailings to choose from.

For anyone interested some of us are stopping over Saturday night at the Premier Inn,Barrow in Furness for further bantering,before convoying up to Gretna Sunday Morning.

Many thanks to anyone who may be interested in attending either or both days,I realise the East Kirkby event in Lincolnshire is on this weekend,but for any members for whom it may not be possible to attend that event,you will be made most welcome to attend either or, LAKELAND & GRETNA.

Many Thanks.....John.

Hi, Jon, Is there any chance I could join the convoy coming up from South Lakes, at Southwaite services? If you give me an estimated time, I will wait for you all on the peripheral road, near the filling station. No need to stop, I'll just join on as you drive through, and we can do the 'Howdys' when we get to Gretna. If I'm not there on time, just keep going, don't wait.
PS I've put this on the Scottish Meets section as well, just to make sure of catching you!
