If it is the unsupercharged Merlin then isn't it a Rover Meteor engine from a tank?

Nobby 20th February 2018 19:40

Yep from a Centurion apparently

It was used on the Cromwell and Crusader tanks during WW2. :D

A very good engine and all rounder they even stuck it on the Centurion with plenty of upgrades over the years.

12 if my memory serves me right variants of the centurion were made and each time improvements were made. :D

There’s a guy who put one of these engines into a Rover SD1 a few years back and it was road legal.

Centurion, the only tank to survive an atom bomb test and go back in to service, I wonder if it glowed in the dark 🤔

I can’t see why it can’t be approved for road use?

This one Jim:-

Then there was John Dodds Beast, had the pleasure of seeing it sometime during the early 70's at Santa Pod when it still had a Rolls Royce grille:-

I'm guessing it will not pass an IVA in it's current build Andy .
