TD4 remap?

The early 2000s Freelander TD4 uses the same engine as our R75 Diesel and in its standard form, it develops 110 hp. Do we have a boost remap for it?

Yes but it plays havoc with other systems (hill decent etc) so cant be installed.

Hi Andy.
Thanks that's a question answered for me too, as I was recently on the FL forum and mentioned about the 160 upgrade to our cars M47R and the Freelander having the same engine well almost, except for a few variations turbo etc.

I said I would find out now the question as been answered, what else does it mess with besides the hill decent?

ABS, cooling fan. I tried the 160 on mine but quickly removed it, and purchased 138ps specifically for the TD4, and quite nice it was too.

Here’s a more sensible upgrade for the facelift model, and particularly relevant given the time of the year

As Andy states a 160 remap on a Freelander1 would cause all sorts of problems.

But a remap from 110bhp to 131bhp makes a considerable difference, and won’t cause any serious problems.

The 131bhp is noticeable from pulling away and driving through the gears, it does give it that little extra poke it lacks. Also returns a few extra Mpg.

I'm in Manchester if you fancy the trip over :D

Hi Gary.
Thank you very much for sharing those PDF  most appreciated, it would have been great if I still had my FL1 but I am sure the person whom purchased it will read this and may decide to upgrade :} cheers Arctic
