Ian G 9th July 2019 18:22

Anyone else fancy this one..Open to any MG model..
Cheers Ian

Russel 18th July 2019 15:17

I fancy this one mines a bit of a dog but I'm thinking this is 5 min from me so a nice one to attend

FLYING BANANA 18th July 2019 15:25

I might tag along with the Bear or Banana. Will be able to confirm next week.

ceedy 18th July 2019 17:05

A few peeps from the swmgr owners club on Facebook are organising a stand, about 15 at present , other wise you have to park on the car park with all the other MG's. You can find info on f- book in the south west group.

Hey Ian, Athelhampton is on 11th Aug, you can do both. ;)

Hey Chris, We will most probably be there, do we just pay on the day and park, or buy tickets via SWMGR.

Dallas 18th July 2019 18:20

I think we should get in free, as my family and I appeared on the the new Beaulieu TV advert that has been running these past two years... :D

Is it worth asking the SW crew if we can join them?
Cheers

ceedy 23rd July 2019 21:18

I'm going Chris, I think that Mr FB is considering making the trip and we can collect Mr and Mrs Dallas on the way :D..
Be a nice day out for us.;);)

Dallas 24th July 2019 07:21

Good morning guys, we can either pay on the day and park with all the other MG's, we can meet up and drive in together...

... or I think Dan from SWMGR group wants us to let him know today or tomorrow if we are joining their stand.

Chris and I have let the guys know Ian, all they ask is that we purchase the tickets online using the Beaulieu website and confirm to Dan that we have bought them.
Tickets can be bought here...

The ticket price for this event is per person not per car, so the driver and each passenger needs a ticket.
Adults: £13.50 • Child £7.50.

Tickets can also be purchased upon arrival, this allows participants to park on the same grounds as all the other MG's, but may not be with SWMGR club.
This may be a better option for me, as I have two more urology visits before the 25th, one is on the Friday before, and I would rather make sure I'm fit and willing to be able to stand for the whole day, depending on what urology want to do to me...

I'm sure I will be fine and still be able to go. ;)

There are no options... You are going:D:D

Dallas 1st August 2019 16:43

Yep! I second that, you're going Chris... ;)

I've had no reply from SW as yet, a few have asked about confirming stand details, but nothing as yet.

Not that it matters, we can always meet outside and drive in and park together making our own stand using our own banners/flags etc, bit like Sherborne really. :D

Good idea Wes
Shame theres not more going from this forum but I suppose ZTs probably only account for around 20% of the membership.
Maybe we should look at starting our own local group....
Jurassic MGs anyone?

Cheers

Any MG can attend as its 95th years of MG, I know some members have other MG's, so it would be good to see more of us attend the 95th anniversary.

Good idea about having a local group Ian, we just don't get any down this neck of the woods do we. lol

Dallas 1st August 2019 18:18

I just had a thought, isn't Paul (Reebs) just down the road, does Paul know about the MG Beaulieu show?

FAO Paul, are you free on the 25th August? ;)

starbug2 3rd August 2019 08:08

I'll be bringing the ZT and TF... ;)

mh007 3rd August 2019 23:20

Hopefully, there will be some nice MG's to see.
I went to Beaulieu a few months ago with the family & I was hugely disappointed (especially for the price).
Far fewer cars than I ever remember & very cleverly (or not) positioned partitions & poster displays to try & disguise the fact!
Would I go there again.........not likely

Have you heard anything Chris?

If all else fails, we can just all convoy in together and park on the showground and make our own stand, a bit like the Sherborne show. ;)

Ian G 9th August 2019 19:04

All it says on my tickets is follow participant signs.

ceedy 9th August 2019 19:18

just asked on the SW group . ;)

Flags still in the boot :D

Same here Chris, I was thinking of using them at Athelhampton, but I'm not sure they allow holes in their lawn. I should have bought a wheel flag pole stand... :duh:

Are you not coming to Athelhampton Chris?

ceedy 9th August 2019 20:11

You never know , only if the V8 is ready in time ?

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Be...22!4d-1.504862

ceedy 10th August 2019 19:08

Trying to contact Dan large from Poole who was arranging an area to see if I can help

ceedy 11th August 2019 11:52

I have just messaged Beaulieu about this and the arranging of a display area will see what sort of reply I get ?

C

ceedy 13th August 2019 06:25

Contacted Beaulieu events, and this is all being organised by the Solent MG club.
So emailed them, and got the reply that no contact about any reserved area has been made .

So put out feelers on the Facebook page to see how many cars might be appearing..

C

ceedy 13th August 2019 17:53

Strange although there was supposedly a few going from the FB group, i've had not a single reply there ? .

So looks like we are doing our own thing , so if we meet up some place as suggested before and arrive togther we can be parked in a group and wave our flags :D.

What a great day we had, MGs as far as the eye could see, delightful museum and grounds and some lovely stuff in the museum including a unregistered 75 1.8 SE produced in March 2005 with just 1 mile on the clock..
Good just to sit back and chill in the shade and have a nice chat with Wes,Chris and the girls.
Didn't get to meet Russel though :shrug:
