Drivers side seat belt not winding back
 

I have to feed the seat belt back into the B pillar slot. Do I need to replace the seat belt?

Good question, as I have the same problem as well. Hopefully someone with more experience/knowledge will be able to help.

an inexpernsive solution that can work is to pull out the belt , spray it with Mr Sheen, and quickly polish with a cloth - smoothes its passage so to speak.

Always works for me :}
Needs repeating each year :(

talking of belt issues....

Has anyone found a fix for the edge of the seat belts wearing where they exit the half moon shaped slot, up by the shoulder. Driver side belt is is fluffy on one edge and the B pillar slot it is wearing too. It also doesn't feel like 'quality' as you drag the belt out.

I'll give the Mr Sheen a go and report back, thanks for the tip.:}

Finally got around the 'polishing' the seatbelt. Seems to work much better now returning all the way, thanks for the tip.

Glad to hear it has helped - I would do it again soon as that may improve it further

I had the same problem on the driver's side on my 190. I had it fixed while some other work was being done up at Austin Garages. From what I remember, Nick said it was a fairly simple fix. Something had become detatched from under the driver's seat, and the seatbelt was not adjusting the height properly when the seat was moved forward & back.

I'm seeing Nick the weekend, if I remember, I'll ask him for more details and post back.
