Budapest, Hungary...

Hi,
I found myself in Hungary with work a couple of weeks ago. I'd never been before, but was quite excited to be given the opportunity to go.
What a stunning place and so much to see.

I will go again, for a holiday for sure.

Being a work trip I didn't get much downtime, but when I did, my camera came with me...

Oh, I can confirm that the lights on the bridges and the Hungarian parliament building turn off at 1.00AM.
How do I know this? I was out trying to get a photo of the lights once my colleague had decided to go to bed!

I hope you enjoy:

I was there last July/August. It has to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Some places can be so crowded, which detract for me, especially with tourists (New York and Dublin both spring to mind). Yet even with the Grand Prix and its associated influx of people, it never felt crowded or intimidating. I too, am planning to go back, although maybe in a cooler period lol.

It sure is stunning.
That was the biggest shock for me, how hot it was!! It was 20C whereas over here it was 8C! I didn't imagine Hungary as a warm country.
It didn't feel over busy but there was a lot of people about.

It was between 30 and 39 when I was there, and at the qualifying there was a sudden thunderstorm which was incredible in itself.

I do wish I had gone to Memento Park though, Communist era relics and buildings fascinate me.

I managed to catch a couple of 75s lol
