Just to say when I got my car it had the hose in place, which I removed and refitted the 'trumpet' with a the end cut of (again like in the above post) and as others have mentioned I didn't note any difference between the 2.

I do regret cutting the trumpet now as I wanted a more stock look engine bay.

if it's more oomph you're looking for then get a 160 remap or a Synergy box if you don't have one, that will make all the difference! Again I have had both of these, started with the Synergy and now have a 160 remap.

Recently dyno'd a diesel with this intake mod.

Intake temperatures got higher and higher and thus smokier.

I touched the intake area just after and it was very hot to the touch. As should probably wouldn't recommend this now
