Poked my head around the MG GS

Hi guys

I just popped into the flag ship MG dealership in Piccadilly and I thought I'd report back on the MG GS. It's the Chinese version that they display but it should be fairly indicative of what to expect.

She's big.
A fair bit bigger than I had expected. I was expecting it to be similar in size to the Kuga but the GS has far more presence.
Although orange wouldn't be my colour of choice, the car did look quite smart. A little more imaginative in the styling department than some of the other small 4x4's available.

The interior felt high end. The dash had a piano black finish and the cream leather seats were comfortable. Leg room in the rear is generous and the boot is quite spacious.

I eagerly await the opportunity to take it for a test drive.
I reckon a black model with leather seats to match would look very tasty.

Let me know if you've any queries.

James

He said it'll be little touches like the MG logo in the headlights and a good range of options so it sounds hopeful.
I'm not sure what he meant by this but he said this would be the most British of the line up.

Apparently the dealers are pushing hard for a Q1 2016 release and Auto Trader amongst others are dying to try it out.

Actually looks good, the qashqai has done incredibly well (even if you put motab aside) and the ge looks a cross between that and the ix35. The quality of the switch gear looks good. If they get the engines good then they may be on to a winner.

With a good options range I think this could really work for MG. The 3 has done great and adding this to the line up will give the dealers something to really push.

Good question.
The show room model is an automatic.
I asked if the UK model would be - he said its very likely now.
