Midlands Nano Meet Sat 29 & Sun 30 July 2023

This is the rearranged date for the last Nano Meet which was postponed due to the weather

This is a 2 day meet on Sat 29th and Sun 30th July 2023

The meet will be at the venue of Kings Road Calf Heath Wolverhampton WV10 7DU and directions can be found here: https://www.midlandsnanomeets.co.uk/...hp?f=205&t=676

Please remember that there is a cost of £5 per car which all goes to the venue landlord and covers you either one or both days, you will be given a note for your windscreen once paid so if you come back on Sunday you will not be asked to pay again

You can either visit the dedicated Nano website and put your names down or put on here and either me or Steve (Arctic) will keep the list up to date, looking forward to seeing some of you and your cars at the meet

Lets make it work

Hopefully we should be able to get the numbers up for this meet, now we have a few weeks to arrange what we may have on or not, i will be attending both days with the usual items in tow, please remember if you require a manifold then i need a PM from you to allocate a time for the exchange/swap over.

The same goes for a fan unless you turn up on the day and have it diagnosed and i have one with me, seeing that i do not live to far from the venue i could always make a quick trip and pick one up if needs be.

Lest have a good meet and enjoy ourselves, please get behind us and attend the meet if you can

Hi,

Thank you for the invitation Steve.
I will be bringing my Mk 2 CDTI R75. it's in nice condition but I'm looking to get a few things sorted on it with some much appreciated expert help!
- Hand Brake is poor (no idea how it passed MOT!)
- PCV filter (I have part)
- Retrofit fog lamps (i have all parts)
- cut away plenum tube from underneath to improve drainage (just emptied plenum again!)

I will aim to get there Saturday morning and if necessary will come back on the Sunday.

I look forward to meeting you all!

Best
Phil

I will try to make it but my son is planning on visiting that weekend, it's a 350-mile-round trip for him so obviously I don't see him very often and although he likes the Rover 75, I don't think he would want to spend his only full day in the Midlands at the meet. It's possible I could persuade him to come along for a couple of hours on Sunday morning, otherwise I'll get to one later in the year.

I was hoping to visit the one which was postponed earlier this month because of foul weather, it just seems the stars have not lined up so far this year.

If I do make it along sometime some words of advice re fitting the gold resistor would be appreciated, especially if I could delegate the actual soldering bit to somebody more competent than I. :}

Hi Vince.
family must come first but if you could make it you are very welcome to, you would get the advice you need or even a gold resistor, if you have one then it could possibly be swapped over for one ready to fit. ;)

Hi James.
You are added to the list, let us know if you would like assistance with any jobs while at the meet.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for confirming.

I've a Rover 75 Tourer and want to check the intercooler 'o' rings and rear washer not working, please. Does the nano meet advice / assistance extend to brakes / shock absorbers / front drop links at all?

Other car is a Rover 75 v6 saloon with random quirk with the rear sensors seemingly working, but no sound.

Hope that helps and thanks again.

Hi James.
Intercooler O-rings 10 minutes job, washer rear maybe the pump, or kink in the pipe, so investigation required but the help will be there, brake pad change is double, if you have some Dot 4, front drop links are double also, shock absorbers i would tackle at home, but good information will be given ;)
