Hello All

If the supercharged ZT v8 is the ultimate road-going version of the model
(excluding the ZT X500 or Dreadnought's beast), what kind of performance figures are available? (I know different individual cars seem to have different power levels - 385bhp, 400 bhp etc.)

Torque levels, 0-60 times, top speed...

Just dreaming....

The ZT/ZTT 385 is the Roush Charger
The ZT/ZTT 400 is the Kenne Bell Charger
The X500 is a Vortech
The ZT520 (Dreadnought) is Normally Aspirated

There are no R75V8s with a SC.

At the flywheel mine (KB) is 410 PS, 434 ft/lb, 0-60 4.7 Seconds.
Under perfect conditions Max out at 183 MPH.

The Kenne Bell kit is without doubt the one to go for, once it's fitted it's then a case of resisting the urge for a little bit more:D

I did see nic (rincewind) once post figures for a 385 as 0-60 4.7 Sec and top speed 179mph, if memory serves correctly.

Does anyone know if the Vortec is a Procharger?

It can be called that - I believe it also goes by the description of centrifugal supercharger.

Vortech, Paxton and Procharger are just makers of Centrifugal Supercharger .

The favoured blower for the 260 is the Kenne Bell, (there are a few 260s with the Roush Charger) both Twin Screw, There is one car (VIN 001) with a Vortech.

What is the difference between a Centrifugal Supercharger and a Twin Screw Supercharger?
A Twin Screw type Supercharger is a positive displacement supercharger that forces air into an engine with two rotating, intermeshing rotors. A centrifugal Supercharger has an impeller that pulls air through the center and directs the air into a scroll using centrifugal force. The scroll resembles a large blow-dryer with a circular shape and a discharge tube. The air is directed in the scroll, pressurized and forced out of the discharge tube and into the engine. The two types of superchargers have different performance characteristics that have led to several debates on which supercharger is preferable.
Proponents of Twin Screw blowers argue that more boost is available at lower RPM to provide off the line acceleration. Centrifugal supercharger enthusiasts argue that Twin Screw blowers are limited at higher RPMs and can increase air temperature and decrease horsepower.

What is the difference between a Centrifugal Supercharger and a Turbocharger?
Turbochargers are powered by exhaust pressure while Centrifugal/Twin Screw Superchargers are driven from the engine crank pulley. Centrifugal/Twin Screw Superchargers allow you to attain boost and horsepower on demand. A turbocharger requires the exhaust pressure to build resulting in a "lag" in horsepower increase. A turbocharger will typically have a higher discharge temperature than a Centrifugal/Twin Screw supercharger. This higher temperature is a result of the turbo impeller spinning faster and the heat generated from the exhaust gas.

There is also one with a ford motorsport blower that is part of the inlet manifold and sits low in the vee. Used to be owned by Gaz on the 260's...
Oh and there's the Whipple kit now also from Johnneys Motorsport in the good old U S of A.

I know the KB is faster than a Jag S Type R, an Aston Martin V8 Vantage 4.3 but could have been a 4.7 can't say for sure.
