Supercharged cars
Hello All
If the supercharged ZT v8 is the ultimate road-going version of the model (excluding the ZT X500 or Dreadnought's beast), what kind of performance figures are available? (I know different individual cars seem to have different power levels - 385bhp, 400 bhp etc.) Torque levels, 0-60 times, top speed... Just dreaming.... Andrew |

The ZT/ZTT 400 is the Kenne Bell Charger The X500 is a Vortech The ZT520 (Dreadnought) is Normally Aspirated There are no R75V8s with a SC. At the flywheel mine (KB) is 410 PS, 434 ft/lb, 0-60 4.7 Seconds. Under perfect conditions Max out at 183 MPH. The Kenne Bell kit is without doubt the one to go for, once it's fitted it's then a case of resisting the urge for a little bit more:D

I did see nic (rincewind) once post figures for a 385 as 0-60 4.7 Sec and top speed 179mph, if memory serves correctly.

Centrifugal/Twin Screw Superchargers allow you to attain boost and horsepower on demand. A turbocharger requires the exhaust pressure to build resulting in a "lag" in horsepower increase. A turbocharger will typically have a higher discharge temperature than a Centrifugal/Twin Screw supercharger. This higher temperature is a result of the turbo impeller spinning faster and the heat generated from the exhaust gas. |
There is also one with a ford motorsport blower that is part of the inlet manifold and sits low in the vee. Used to be owned by Gaz on the 260's...
Oh and there's the Whipple kit now also from Johnneys Motorsport in the good old U S of A. |

I know the KB is faster than a Jag S Type R, an Aston Martin V8 Vantage 4.3 but could have been a 4.7 can't say for sure. |
