Driver's door not kept open

I thought I've just chased all the gremlins.
Grrr! A new one is happening... :duh:

Today when opening my front door I heard something falling down but I couldn't see anything on the ground.
Coming back home and stopping the car in the garage I noticed that I cannot any longer keep the door open. Nevertheless I can open it, shut it, and the lock in / out is perfectly working.
I guess something has been broken or unscrewed inside the door but the bottom rod (where should lie the problem) doesn't show anything wrong from outside.
Q1: what might have happened inside?
Q2: what should I do to solve & cure the problem?
Who experienced that before and what is to be done or bought?

Thanks a lot.

sounds like the bar that stops the door from opening too much has fallen off rgds mark

Not exactly.
The full opening can be had and it can't be opened further when the maximum is reached, the bar looks perfectly horizontal like the right one, but the mechanism has left its intermediate positions where you can prevent the door from opening further.
I hope it's a bit clearer.

Bump...

Nobody here experienced that failure?
Would I be the only one or the first one?
No way...

I would appreciate to know what to do before taking off the door trim, just in case I need a piece I haven't at hand.
Because I'm not mechanically skilful enough, I never engage any move before knowing exactly what to order & what to do.
And if I decide to ask my mechanic to do the job, as I'm bringing him every time all the stuff he needs, I'm stuck at the moment.

Thanks buddies.

Check the bolts holding the door strap are tight, & make sure the rollers are still there. They may have come loose & dropped into the door skin.

Bolts are obviously still tightly in place.
But how can I know that the rollers are still there?
I can't even name all the parts involved & without a sketch I have no idea of the mechanism design... :o
