unable to download more than 3.0 g
 

hi to all
i am trying to download an update for my satnav which is in 2 parts the first file is 3.0 g in size and i am able to download but the second file is 6.0 g in size and once it has downloaded 3.1 g it stops and a message comes up check your internet connection bt have checked the phone line and that is ok talktalk have done a check and they are unable to find a fault i have fitted new cables and still no joy i have a talktalk adsl broadband and i am trying to download igo primo for my 75 can anyone help

Is this an old PC that you are using?
What operating system are you using, and what file system?
If it is something like Windows XP with FAT 32 then there is a 4GB limit.
