New unit
I have a Naval Star, there is a new guy selling double dins, at Android ice for the 75, are they a big improvement on the Naval’s
Ordered Android 9.0 PBX7946B |
In one word: Yes!:D
Although all these Chinglese after market units have their little annoyances, the xTrons are quite decent and are well supported by the seller. I have had a NavAll 1 which needed re-installing every two weeks or worse. The xTrons I got from AndroidIce hasn't been re-installed since I have it (some 8 months). |
I have a xTrons Android 9 head unit in mine and it does all you will ever need it to do :)

Showing off now, are we :D:D:D (Looks great btw)
Alright then... here's my Android 8 unit from AndroidIce https://www.zt-t.nl/piwigo/i.php?/up...af949cc-th.jpg The home screen is by Agama btw ;) |
Interesting photos guys, seems I'm not the only one with the Android unit sticking out a bit at the bottom!
But it's a nice bit of kit, my GPS is sometimes slow in waking up, but otherwise happy. I've now added Torque Pro & ELM327 (wireless) so it's easy to monitor the coolant temp. Regards |
Hej, hej Vitesse,
True... these units tend to fit/sit not fully flush with the ACC panel but it is only 1 to 2 mm difference and I am not bothered by it because I am looking at it from an above angle :D Might I ask if your ELM also shows oil temperature? Because mine doesn't (it shows coolant temperature OK though). I am using Torque (free version) so I wondered if the Pro version might make a difference. |

I did manage to get mine in flush once. You have to get lucky and have all the wires fall into just the right place as you are fitting but it is possible. Havn't been too worried about it being slightly proud as the sides seem to look better than when it was flush but no biggie either way. |
I think I noticed it said with some off the units you need to trim a couple of mil of to get it to sit flush.

Well that means I don't have to upgrade to pro for that. Thanks for clearing that up. |
