End of an era

Well we have enjoyed the last twelve years of rover 75 ownership but the time is fast approaching to let the wifes tourer go as she no lonnger wants or neads a large estate car. I would still have kept my duotone tourer if it had not gone up in flames. On reflection I wish I had kept it and slowly rebuilt it even if it could not have gone back on the road I could have trailored it to meets in my retirement.

At least you have experienced this great Marque and hopefully made some friends along the way; no doubt gaining knowledge due to these cars forcing our hand some time.

Although I am not a religious person, I am reminded of a quote someone made to me that comes from the Bible. ‘ in my house there are many rooms’. It reminds me of various stages of mans addiction to motor vehicles. Many types and many changes.

It was a sad day indeed, that I gave up my last Rover 75 (of three!). Due to my joint problems, it was getting too difficult for me to exit and maintain myself. I now have a relatively "modern" Sportage 1.7 diesel, which is easier on both counts. It's easier to get into, out of and underneath (which I haven't needed to do yet!). Do I miss my 75? Yes! Good luck and good health to you.;)
