Reporting driving incidents to the police

Has anyone used https://www.nextbase.com/en-gb/natio...safety-portal/ to submit dash cam footage of driving offences to the police?
If you have, how did you get on, what happened once you made the submission?

I have used the submission system three times to upload dashcam footage to the police, you have to fill in a statement and state that you will be willing to attend court if needed although I have never been asked to attend, but I do know that one incident I reported was acted on. It appears that when face with clear video evidence most just own up to it.
From a reliable police source: "If the offence is clear with all relevant details, reg no, date/time and place, we will act on every one". Mostly dealt with by the FPN people but more serious cases are investigated further.

Hope that helps.

I sent a copy of an incident directly to a local force (elderly lady driving straight towards me on the wrong side of the road with her windows fully steamed up, causing me to swerve left). I was informed that a traffic officer would be on his way to speak with her and the following month, her car was up for sale and I got a call to say that she had given up driving! I felt quite bad about her losing her independence but better that than someone losing a loved one. (We had our two year old grandson in the back of the car with us) She made no apology to me when I eventually caught up with her and stopped her. I managed to find the demister for her and she had no idea where most of the controls were or what they did!

I can sympathise a little. Compared to my Triumph, the ZT is over spec'd. Powerfold mirrors are about the only "extra" I would have or find useful.

Not dash cam, but I have reported/notified the police that my neighbour has used and is still using a car that is uninsured, no MoT and no tax.

Nothing has happened.

I have reported these people online on the DVLA website every time they use their vehicle, which can be up to four times a day.

I started this in February, vehicle is still being used and is untaxed.

How did you know, unless you actively checked online.. I’m glad I’m not one of your neighbours, mines nosey enough looking out the window checking who’s coming and going without checking on my cars. Which, incidentally are all legal :D
