Lacquer Peel

Any quick fix to deal with an area of lacquer peel on front wing. Area is the size of an average human hand?
Thanks for any tips

Quickest and cheap solution is to find a replacement wing, more expensive route is to have wing resprayed.

I have had some success using a lacquer rattle can sprayed into the cap to collect a quantity of the dilute lacquer liquid. Gently remove the lose stuff and then, with a very soft and fine squirrel hair artists paint brush hold the lacquer liquid to the edge of the peeling area. Capillary action sucks the thin lacquer under the lifting lacquer and with care and a steady hand a reasonable result can be had.

But it isn't a permanent fix by any means and if on top of the wing I am not sure I would bother as the finish is not smooth - I have done it on lower door panels and been quite happy with it.

Hope this helps

Seems a bit over the top and excessive for such a small area?

Not at all - easy to change as they bolt on and you can pick them up for 20 quid and sometimes even less. ;)
