judging by all that going into the atmosphere it is just as well is days are numbered. That will perhaps be a housing estate in future.

It's nothing compared to what India & China push out every week, we need fossil fuels as the rest of the national grid can't sustain our ever increasing needs going forwards.

Can you imagine the power required if we all switched to electric cars?

Don't let Mayor Khan see this

Of course most of that "going up into the atmosphere" is water vapour from the cooling towers.

Need to sink that new coal mine in Cumbria, saves the carbon footprint from importing coal from Russia.

Why doesn't it make sense? Its Ratcliff-On-Soar power station filmed at sunset on 04/03/22.

Makes sense with the dashes between words. Needed by the OP.

Owners seem not to refer to with hyphens https://www.uniper.energy/company/lo...united-kingdom

Everything out of the eight cooling towers is water vapour / steam.

Station has four off 500mw machines and were fitted with desulphurisation equipment in the 1990s.

As we have exported much our manufacturing capacity abroad perhaps the environmental impact on the planet has increased overall?
